Using this CD

This CD contains the Congress Proceedings of the 10th IAEG International Congress, IAEG2006, held in Nottingham, United Kingdom from 6th to 10th September 2006. To access the contents of this CD use the following instructions:

  • You will need an internet browser installed on your PC to read the CD. Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 or 8 is recommended. The CD is not fully compatible with some other browsers, see the Help
  • All the papers are in PDF format, you will therefore need Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader version 8 or 9.2 installed on your PC and set up to automatically run when a PDF is selected. Adobe Reader version 9.2 is recommended, which can be  installed from this CD 
  • When you view one of the papers for the first time, you may get an alert message, or a pop-up warning, asking if you wish to view active content, click Yes or OK or Allow. Depending on your browser settings, you may also get a warning bar at the top of the screen, click on this and select Allow blocked content. To permanently switch off these warnings see the Troubleshooting section of the Help
  • In order to use the full search facilities you must view the PDF files in a separate Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Reader window, not within your browser window. For further information on configuring your computer see the Help
  • Use the menu bar above to navigate around the CD. Some of the screens have a series of tabs to move between the pages. All of the links for navigating around the CD are in red text
  • If Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Reader opens in a new window, then close this window to return to the previous page. If Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Reader opens within your browser window use the << Previous page menu item above, or your browser's Back button, to return to the previous page
  • You can return to this screen at any time by clicking on the IAEG2006 Home menu item above
  • Use the red links below to view some of the general information not accessible from the menu bar
  • Press the F11 function key to maximise the screen. Press F11 again to return to normal
  • When you have finished viewing the CD, depending on your computer settings, either click on the Exit menu item above, or press the Ctrl + W keys together, or close your browser window
